The “ TEAM du COEUR ” with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association

For the second time in a row, Panis-Barthez Compétition will fly the colours of the Mécenat Chirurgie Cardiaque association at the 85th 24 Hours of Le Mans . The association partner of the ACO for the last eight years will benefit from the support of the “Team du Coeur” to make known the cause and collect funds for children suffering from heart malformations. All the members of the team, the three drivers Fabien Barthez, Nathanaël Berthon, Timothé Buret will proudly wear the Heart Mécenat colours on their driver suits and on the #23 Ligier JS P217. They will go to the stand of the association to meet the audience and raise people’s awareness to the cause and encourage them to donate.

In 2016, the line-up went to meet the children who had been operated of the heart by Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque in the Château des Côtes Convalescence Centre in the Yvelines department. Last April, our drivers visited the staff of the Marie Lannelongue du Plessis-Robinson Chirurgical Centre and the recently operated and saved children thanks to the great work of the medical staff. Once more, the “Team du Coeur” saw concrete evidence of the work of the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque and shared a great time with Professor Francine Leca, Orso Chétochine, and the dedicated staff.

Fabien Barthez –  #23 Ligier JS P217 driver : “ We are proud to take part in the fantastic actions carried out by Professor Francine Leca. By playing our part, we hope to bring a bit of happiness to these children as well as to all the association’s staff ”

Timothé Buret - #23 Ligier JS P217 driver : " Following my meeting with the Association last year, I really took the dimension of their commitment and to find myself at the bedside of the children woke my consciousness. Since then, I am proud to have the heart of Mécénat on my helmet in order not to forget the importance of their fight for life. I talked a lot with host families and I have a big admiration for their human investment with the children who are in loving homes while waiting to see their parents again. "

Orso Chétochine - Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque manager : “Going on this partnership with the Panis-Barthez Compétition team is the logical result of the links which unite us. Thanks to the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year, we were able to save six children. After their visit to children in convalescence in the Château des Côtes last season, the three drivers wished to meet our newly operated children as well as the medical staff of the Marie Lannelongue Hospital last April. We are very grateful to the "Team du Coeur”. Its human and sports implication allows us to be more visible and raise necessary funds to save these children. In the name of all Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque staff, Thank you! "
